Crown of Life Christian Academy has been extremely blessed by the leadership God has brought to us over the years. We are proud to share that our very own Campus Director, Miss Rebecca Rixe is highlighted in the Spring issue of Martin Luther College’s InFocus! To read the article, click the link and turn to pages 18 and 19. Miss Rixe’s leadership brings love, guidance, education, and the gospel to every child who comes through our doors, as well as friendship and professional growth to everyone on staff. Her heart goes into teaching her 4 and 5 year old prekindergarten (VPK) classroom. It brings her joy to see them learn, grow, and develop… preparing them for full time kindergarten. Not only does Miss Rixe excel in the classroom, but she also is a guiding force throughout the rest of our school. Many of our elementary students have known her since they too were in VPK. They trust her with their feelings. They respect her authority when needing guidance through discipline. And many mornings, they look for her just to simply give her a hug to start the day. The love and respect that each student gives Miss Rixe is a Gold Star of who she is and who God created her to be! Not only do we love our current director Miss Rixe, but we are also thankful for those who have come before her. Turn back one page (page 17) to read an article written by our former director Jennifer Mehlberg. The philosophy about the importance of play in the preschool classroom still holds true at Crown of Life Christian Academy, and we are thankful for how Professor Mehlberg recognized that “children learn best through play.” To this day, CoLCA integrates this into our classrooms and makes learning fun for our students. We are truly blessed by the leadership God has given Crown of Life Christian Academy throughout the years!
